No word lists. Ten minutes a day.

ContextWise finds your level, then decides what you see each day. Here is one word, qualify, on its way to sticking.

  1. Day one · 3 min

    A twelve-question placement check

It starts easy and gets harder. Stop any time: finish later, or start with the answers you gave.

Does qualify mean "earn" or "limit" in this sentence?

  2. Every day · 5 to 10 min

A short session built for you

A few new words, plus the ones you are about to forget. A miss comes back in the same session.

You meet qualify in a sentence, then a fill-in-the-blank, then choosing the precise word.

  3. Until test day

Each word returns at the right moment

Reviews move further apart as a word sticks. Add your test date and Today counts down with you.

Get qualify right and it waits a few days. Miss it and it comes back today.

Questions

Who is ContextWise for?

High school students preparing for SAT® Reading and Writing, and anyone who wants a stronger academic vocabulary, including students learning English. Many words appear in their less familiar test senses, like qualify meaning "limit" or arresting meaning "striking".

Is this an official SAT product?

No. ContextWise is an independent study app, not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by College Board. Every sentence and question in it is original.

Can I use it right now?

Yes, in your browser at app.contextwise.app, on a phone or a computer. On a phone you can add it to your home screen. The iPhone and Android apps are coming.

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account, everything stays on your device. An optional account syncs progress between devices and unlocks friends and 1v1 challenges. You can delete it from the app at any time.

How long does it take each day?

Most sessions take five to ten minutes. Short, regular practice beats cramming, and the app shows an estimate before you start.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After the first load, every session works without an internet connection.
