Terms of Use
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms apply to the ContextWise app and the contextwise.app website (together, "ContextWise"), operated by Malek Wael ("we", "us"). By using ContextWise you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
1. What ContextWise is
ContextWise is an independent vocabulary study app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to College Board or the SAT® program. We cannot promise any particular test score: results depend on many things, including how you study.
2. Your account
An account is optional. If you create one, you must be at least 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live), keep your sign-in secure, and choose a username that is not offensive, misleading or someone else's name. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
3. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- harass, threaten or impersonate other people through usernames, friend requests or challenges;
- try to access other people's data or interfere with our servers;
- copy, scrape or resell the app's word content, questions or explanations;
- use ContextWise for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
4. Our content
The word explanations, example sentences, questions, design and code of ContextWise are ours or licensed to us. You may use them for your own personal study. Definitions draw on Open English WordNet, which is available under its own open license.
5. Plus subscriptions
When ContextWise Plus becomes available, it will be sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which process the payment. Prices are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Passes with a fixed length do not renew. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. Free trials, where offered, turn into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep ContextWise available and accurate, but we provide it "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may change, add or remove features. Learning data stored only on your device can be lost if the device is lost or the app is removed, so export a backup or use an account if that matters to you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for ContextWise in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use ContextWise after changes means you accept them.
